Planetary Carriers, Gears and Driveshafts for Heavy Equipment
Mahmut Usta Yedek Parca supplies power train parts for construction and mining equipment: planetary carriers and gear sets, bevel gears and pinions, driveshafts and driveline components, torque converters, grader chains, flanges and wear strips.
Planetary Carriers and Gear Sets
The core group of this section. We supply planetary carriers, planet gears and pins, sun gears, ring gears and complete planetary gear sets for final drives, swing drives, transmissions and wheel end reductions. Carriers are produced from quality cast iron and steel, tempered after machining to relieve processing stress. A carrier that has not been stress relieved distorts in service, and the resulting misalignment destroys the planet gears long before the gears themselves wear out. Planet gears are replaced as a set, not individually. Gears in the same carrier share the load, and one new gear running alongside worn ones carries more than its share and fails early.
Bevel Gears and Pinions
Bevel gear and pinion sets, crown wheel and pinion assemblies, spiral bevel gears, differential gears and side gears for axles, final drives and transfer cases. A bevel gear and pinion are lapped as a matched pair at the factory and carry the same serial number. They are supplied and replaced together. Fitting a new pinion against an old crown wheel produces noise under load and shortens the life of both. Backlash and tooth contact pattern are set on installation with shims. Correct pattern matters more than torque figures: a pair set with the right pattern but slightly loose preload outlasts one clamped tight with the pattern wrong.
Driveshafts, Driveline and Joints
Driveshafts and driveline components for heavy equipment: front and rear shafts, intermediate shafts, slip yokes, flanges, centre bearings and spider assemblies. Driveshafts are matched by dimensions rather than by machine model alone. Compressed length, spline travel, flange diameter and bolt pattern, and joint series are the figures that identify a shaft. The same machine model built in different years frequently carries shafts of different length. Vibration while travelling almost always points to the joints or the centre bearing rather than the shaft itself, and a spider kit costs a fraction of a complete shaft.
This group also covers driveline parts for underground mining machines and haul trucks, including LHD loaders, underground dump trucks and drill rigs from Caterpillar, Komatsu, Sandvik, Epiroc and Atlas Copco. Underground machines run short duty cycles with constant direction changes, which loads joints and splines far harder than surface work, so spiders, yokes and slip splines are consumable items on this equipment rather than long life parts.
Torque Converters
Heavy duty torque converters, impellers, stators, turbines, housings, seal rings and repair kits for machines with hydrostatic and powershift transmissions. The stator sits at the centre of the converter and redirects fluid returning from the turbine before it reaches the pump, which is what multiplies torque. A failed stator one way clutch gives the same symptom as a worn transmission: no power at low speed, normal at road speed. Checking stall speed before dismantling the transmission saves opening the wrong assembly.
Transmission and Final Drive Gears
Transmission gears and shafts, clutch packs, friction discs and steel plates, transmission seal rings, final drive gears and gear rings for excavators, loaders, dozers and off-highway trucks.
Grader Chains, Drums and Flanges
Drive chains and sprockets for motor graders, tandem drive chains, drums, flanges, bronze wear strips and slide plates. Grader tandem chains stretch rather than break. As pitch grows, the chain climbs the sprocket teeth and the wear accelerates on both. Chains and sprockets are measured together and replaced as a set.
Part Identification
Parts can be matched by OEM part number, by machine model and serial number, or by dimensions. For gears, tooth count, module and outside diameter are enough. For driveshafts, compressed length, spline travel and flange pattern. Cross referencing between original numbers and equivalents is provided free of charge.
Operating Conditions
Power train components run under constant impact loading, frequent direction changes, vibration and temperature variation. Service life depends on steel quality, tooth contact accuracy and oil condition: degraded or contaminated oil wears gears and bearings faster than load ever does.
Applications
Power train parts are used in excavators, backhoe loaders, wheel and track loaders, dozers, motor graders, skid steer loaders, articulated and rigid haul trucks, hydraulic mining excavators, underground mining loaders and trucks, forestry equipment and drilling rigs.
